HeyMath! Intern: Satish

Four of my batch-mates and I were selected for an internship program at HeyMath! after a rigorous written-test. Though I was apprehensive on the first day, as it was my first real world work experience, I soon felt relaxed by the friendly environment.
I started with two mini startup projects. The first one, titled "Profile Management", was to be built using the J2EE technologies using the MVC architecture. The second project was based on the Google Web Toolkit (GWT) framework to develop a tree layout of files and folders.
As a beginner I found these simple projects challenging and helpful in developing my programming skills. Vijay, who guided us in these projects, was very helpful.
The main project was "Web-based MathML Editor", developed using Adobe Flex. This project was headed by Anjan. It was a great learning experience to work on a new technology. Anjan was very kind and guided us in the right direction throughout the project.
I had a nice time working with what I'd call a "small family of computer wizards". I enjoyed the numerous festive events celebrated at HeyMath! The whole internship program was pure fun!
A special thanks to Ananth for guiding us throughout the entire program.
